 Product Description

Heavy and dense. A voluptuous wine that forces you to chew through the palate. Showing tobacco, currant, plum, with black and blue berry fruits. The wine went through fermentation with 10% whole cluster, leading to a velvety, grippy tannins. Aged 22 months in 80% new French oak, 20% neutral oak.

92+ Wine Advocate - I'm continuing to see more and more top-quality Bordeaux blends from Paso and Denner's 2012 Mother Of Exiles is a great example of this trend. Made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot that saw 22 months in 85% new French oak, it has beautiful cassis, plums, violets, wild herbs and damp earth nuances to go with a full-bodied, fresh, elegant and polished style on the palate. This beauty fleshes out nicely with time in the glass, has a solid mid-palate and fine tannin that frame the finish. Give it a year or three and drink bottle over the following decade.

92 Wine Spectator - Succeeds in presenting a supple, elegant mix of understated and refined flavors, with cedar, anise, currant, scorched earth and graphite notes woven amid fleshy, fine-grained tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Drink now through 2024. 1,010 cases made.  –JL
